The Department of Printing and Publications (DPP) is a Government organization under the Ministry of Public Administration which controls the all print, publication and stationery related issue of the Government. There are 5 unit offices/Presses and 8 zonal offices under the Department of Printing and Publications, which are listed bellow:

Bangladesh Government Press (BG Press): BG Press prints all kinds of printing works, including printing of standard and non-standard forms, gazettes, government journals, publications, regulations, books etc, relating to all other ministries which are not allotted to the Government Printing Press (GPP).
BG Press also prints National budget, Report of Public Accounts Committee, ADP report, Ordinance and Manual etc.
BG Press prints Security printintings like question papers of all education boards, Bangladesh Public Service Commission and Public Universities. BG Press has a secret printing unit which is responsible to print different secret document of the government. BG Press also prints job works for different government, semi-government and autonomous bodies.

Government Printing Press (GPP): All kinds of printing works, including printing of non-standard and standard forms, government journals, publications, regulations, books etc. relating to the following Ministries and their subordinate and attached offices/units are printed in GPP : 

1.Ministry of defence
2.Ministry of Law and Parliamentary Affairs
3.Ministry of Communications
4.Ministry of Post, Telegraph and Telephones
5.Ministry of Shipping and Inland Water Transport
6.Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism
7.Election Commission Secretariat
GPP also prints parliament debates, cause lists and death reference of High Court, and different registers of sub-registry offices and also prints different securits document of government.

Bangladesh Security Printing Press (BSPP): Bangladesh Security Printing Press Prints non-judicial stamps, copy stamps. BSPP also prints all types of national savings certificates, wage earner development bonds, cheques for government banks and audit offices and certificates for different education boards and universities.

BSPP also responsible for different urgent printing works which is directly assigned by Department of Printing and Publications.

Bangladesh Forms and Publications office (BFPO): Bangladesh Forms and Publications office Identifies the annual requirement of forms, books, registers, publications etc in different ministries and government organizations and then send print requisition to the presses. After print BFPO collects this forms, books, registers, publications etc from presses and stores it in the storage. Then it supplies this printed documents to different government organizations and 8 zonal offices as per their requirement.

Bangladesh Stationery Office (BSO): Bangladesh Stationery Office prepares a list of stationary item as per the requirement of 8 zonal offices. It also prepares a procurement plan as per the requirement of 3 presses. After the approval of concern authority, BSO invites tender for procuring stationery items and papers. After procurement BSO supplies this stationery items to 8 regional offices as per their requirement and also supplies papers and binding materials to the 3 presses. BSO also procures cartridge paper for treasury offices. BSO stores this stationery items and maintains the inventory.

Zonal Offices (Dhaka/Chattogram/Khulna/Bogura/Barishal/Sylhet/Rangpur/Mymensingh): Zonal Offices collect different Forms and Stationary items from Bangladesh Forms and Publications Office and Bangladesh Stationary Office. Then they supply these products in different paying/non paying government organizations as per their requirement.
